PANELLING AND BOOKCASES 1

The panelling, up to the chair rail (which I also designed for installation) was recessed panels with a bead at the stiles and rails and a central fielded panel. I included in my design provision for the radiators, the window returns and the door architrave.

I was able to continue the panel work in the doors in my design and run it up to the fire place on the near side of the image and up to the window and curtains on the far side of the image to the right. This, with the continuation of the cupboard top moulding to the bookcase above gave the sense of completion of design after installation.
