The top image illustrates the basement lobby to the dining room and patio before I was instructed to design the “press” or large cupboard. This I did matching the dado rail and cornice and picking up the panels at the stiles so that I could design them to balance on the return.  In my design I copied the bolection moulding, which follows the panels, so that when it was painted it looked very much as the original pine panelling looked.
