This traditionally appointed bedroom, with mahogany wardrobe and dressing chest, was not sufficiently utilized for a teenage daughter due to study and working for her place at University. Simon Spencer was asked to re-plan and design it to improve the wardrobe space, provide a work area and have some bookshelves. I felt it important to retain the period and atmosphere of the 30’s building. One can see how I replicated the style of some of the mouldings, from the very large image of the door, it’s panel, architrave and the cornice on the page of Details. Once I had planned the design and the existing furniture was re-house the manufacturers moved in and fitted out the room as shown below.
